Built announced today the promotion of Pat Poels to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As CTO, Poels will drive innovation to expand Built’s platform and develop technology and products that better connect lenders, owners, and general contractors. Poels joined Built as Senior Vice President of Engineering in March 2024.
“Pat has been an incredible steward of the product, engineering and design teams as well as our product culture. After working closely with him over the past year, I can’t think of anyone better suited to bridging the gap from where we are today to where we need to be as we continue to scale and solve some of the most important problems facing the real estate industry. He’s already proving to be a transformational executive for the business and I’m excited for him to take on the role of CTO.” – Chase Gilbert, Built CEO and Co-Founder
“I’m grateful for the trust Chase and the team have placed in me, and I’m excited to step into the CTO position while expanding my leadership of Built’s technology and product development. We’re solving real challenges for the people who finance, develop, build and manage the spaces around us, and I’m excited to continue working with my teams to deliver solutions that make a lasting impact.” – Pat Poels, Built CTO
Before joining Built, Poels served as CTO at Eventbrite, where he led the development of a highly scalable, mission-critical platform supporting millions of users. He also held key leadership roles at Snyk, helping enterprises enhance security in cloud-native environments.
