Starting this release, Built moves to a monthly release cadence: smaller updates, more often, instead of waiting on a quarterly bundle. This month’s headline is Automatic Draw Submission in the Sponsored Borrower Portal, plus four more updates to rules, approvals, funding notices, and draw review.

Automatic Draw Submission in the Sponsored Borrower Portal: Upload the Package, Built Organizes It

The biggest release of the month. Borrowers and project accountants can now upload an entire draw package at once, instead of attaching documents one at a time and typing every amount in by hand. Built separates and labels each document, matches it to the lender’s requirements, and fills in draw amounts on the budget, with every figure traceable back to the file and page it came from.

The manual method still works exactly as it does today, and the choice between the two is made once, at the start of the Documentation step. Availability is enabled per lender.

Deferred Rules: A Formal Way to Say “Still Pending”

A rule that can’t be resolved this cycle no longer has to be Failed or waved through as an Exception. Mark it Deferred, add an optional note, and it stays visible on a dedicated subtab, draw over draw, until someone resolves it.

Approver Groups: Coverage Without the Bottleneck

Assign a draw approval to a group instead of one named person, so a draw doesn’t stall when someone’s out of office. Any active member can approve, required-approval counts enforce dual control, and a workflow setting can block the submitter from approving their own draw.

Funding Notice Enhancements: Precise Control Over What Capital Providers See

A new Configure Notice step controls exactly what appears on a Funding Notice PDF, per draw and per recipient: remittance details, branding, funding date, custom language, and an optional signature block. Sources/Uses now show only the amounts relevant to that specific capital provider.

Inspection Data Integration: Validate Draws Against Verified Progress

Inspection findings, percent complete, stored materials, risk flags, and inspector comments now surface directly in the draw budget. A new Inspection Review saved view lays budget, request, and inspection values side by side, flagging where funding is running ahead of verified progress.
