Meg Crofton is a 35-year veteran of The Walt Disney Company. She retired from her position as president of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, U.S. and France in 2015 and currently coaches and speaks on a wide range of leadership issues while serving on multiple Boards.
Throughout her Disney career, Meg held multiple executive positions in both operating and functional areas, as well as key leadership roles in the opening of many domestic and international properties. In her last role she was responsible for the operations of the company’s theme parks and resorts in Florida, California and France and led a workforce of over 100,000. In addition, she led the global division’s functional lines of business which included food and beverage, merchandise, hotel and park operations, facilities/maintenance, safety and security.
Nima Ghamsari is CEO and co-founder of Blend, a Silicon Valley technology company propelling consumer lending into the digital age. He leads the company’s corporate and product strategy toward the vision of a more frictionless, compliant, and accessible consumer finance ecosystem. Nima is currently focused on expanding the Blend platform both in breadth and depth, bringing a seamless process to more consumers across more of their financial lives. He is also spearheading a number of the company’s initiatives around emerging technologies and how to implement them. Prior to founding Blend, Nima was one of the first employees of the commercial group at Palantir Technologies. He is a graduate of Stanford University where he earned a B.S. in computer science.
Chase Gilbert is the founder and CEO of Built Technologies. Chase and his co-founders formed Built in 2014 after living through the frustrations of navigating construction loans and recognizing there had to be a better way with technology. Today Built’s platform powers the residential and commercial construction lending divisions of over 100 banks and also helps thousands of developers and contractors navigate lien waivers and accelerate construction payments.
Teraverde management Advisors
James M. Deitch is an entrepreneur, having founded two national banks, several mortgage banking ventures, and four technology-oriented companies. He currently serves as co-founder and CEO of Teraverde group of companies. Teraverde is a professional advisor to financial services companies. Teraverde helps banks and mortgage bankers achieve greater profitability, streamlined operations and process improvement while staying fully compliant with regulatory requirements.
Cannon began his financial services career in 1996. Before joining Pinnacle in 2015, he was a senior vice president and Tennessee market manager for commercial real estate at U.S. Bank, where he was responsible for developing and maintaining its commercial real estate finance portfolio. Cannon previously held commercial real estate roles with PNC Bank (formerly National City Bank) in its special assets division and investment real estate finance group. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Hanover College and master’s of business administration from The University of Louisville.
Brent leads the Professional Service Department at Built Technologies. Prior to joining Built, Brent led the Implementation Services department of one of the largest SaaS providers of Electronic Health Records in the Behavioral Healthcare space. He oversees all onboarding and training efforts across Built’s rapidly growing client base. In addition, Brent leads Built’s Lender Services division. Lender Services expands Built’s value proposition beyond its core SaaS product into tech-enabled services. Brent received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his M.B.A. from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
Hunter provides leadership on Elmington’s affordable housing portfolio. With an expertise in Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) development, Hunter oversees Elmington’s 4% bond financed and 9% competitive tax credit development portfolio. He is responsible for the affordable housing strategic direction and day-to-day operations, including: sourcing new construction and rehabilitation deals, project management, financial analysis, government relations, syndication, and due diligence activities. As a principal of the firm, he participates in determining overall corporate growth objectives. Hunter graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelors of Business Administration.
Melissa Jackson is a self-proclaimed storyteller and tech nerd, driven by feature adoption and user retention metrics — creating the perfect storm for helping take Built’s products to the market. If you’ve been a client of Built the past year, you’ve likely been greeted with a “Mel from Built” message promoting new features, offering demo and training webinars, soliciting feedback, you name it! Hailing from Asheville, NC, Melissa enjoys any sort of outdoor adventure, a good beer, and Clemson football.
Eric is currently serving as Lead Product Manager for Lender Software Solutions and is primarily focused on the commercial real estate lending market. Before shifting career focus to enterprise SaaS product management, Eric worked in consumer audio electronics as a firmware and embedded systems architect for Beats Electronics and Apple. Eric earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UCLA.
Geoff is responsible for leading product and strategy for Built’s new Built for Contractors division. Geoff came to Built through its acquisition of lienwaivers.io, where he was CEO and Founder. Started in 2016, lienwaivers.io (now Lienwaivers powered by Built) has been used on over 13,000 construction projects across the United States, covering more than $5B in payments. Prior to starting lienwaivers.io, Geoff was VP, Technology at Intent Media in NYC where he helped grow the company from concept to $100M in revenue during his 6 year tenure.
Fraser has over 30 years of experience in financial services, with an emphasis in construction lending and real estate development. Before Built, Fraser was EVP of Commercial Lending at Axos Bank [NYSE: AX], where he was responsible for commercial construction lending, income property, lender finance, equipment leasing and factoring, with a combined portfolio of $5 billion. Prior to joining Axos, Fraser was Managing Director at Banc of California [NYSE: BANC], managing $500 million in residential and CRE construction, including FNMA and FHA renovation lending programs under Banc Home Loans national mortgage lending brand and 3rd party, fee-based services under RenovationReady(R), a division of Banc Home Loans.
Chris oversees the strategic direction and focus of the Product, Design, and Product Marketing teams at Built. As VP of Product, he works to understand the needs and pain points of Built’s current and future customers in order to draw the entire business closer to its target market. With nearly a decade of experience in leading Product teams across numerous industries, Chris has helped guide Built’s product strategy since 2015. Chris received his B.S. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida.

What am I responsible for?
Each Builders + Innovators attendee will attend this year’s conference as a distinguished Built guest. With that said, there are some costs that attendees will be responsible for covering.
What Built covers:
There is no conference registration fee. Your meals and activities will be taken care of.
What you’ll cover:
You will be responsible for covering your own transportation to and from the area, as well as your lodging at The Westin Nashville. We ask that you book your hotel accommodations immediately upon registering for the event as rooms are limited. You will be responsible for any additional purchases.
What if I can’t make it?
The Builders + Innovators Conference 2020 is by invitation only. Invitations are non-transferable. However, if you would like to nominate another executive from your organization, please contact email@example.com.
How do I get there?
Each Builders + Innovators attendee will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements.
For the Sunday evening event, Built will provide transportation to and from the Built headquarters from the Downtown Westin.
What is the dress code?
The dress code for Builders + Innovators is business casual. Keep in mind the weather will likely be warm with temperatures ranging from the upper 60’s to mid-to-upper 70’s.
How will breakout sessions work?
In order to ensure each Builders + Innovators attendee receives the most pertinent information to them, portions of the conference will be divided into two separate tracks (consumer construction and commercial construction). More details to come.
